After passing extensive and extreme testing phases, the long awaited 1JZ turbo is now here! Each component from the turbine, to the compressor, and the center housing have all been designed to deliver the best all round performance. This particular turbo comes complete with a special Tomei compressor housing as well as Tomei’s specially Forged Billet Blue Actuator. Both the Torque & Power gain characteristics were achieved from the extensive amount of R&D and testing Tomei have invested with the turbo kit. Each component was optimized completely without compromise and completely for the 1JZ engine. It was created to deliver great performance for all sorts of conditions including street, track, and drift. One could say this is the Jack of all turbos.
Unique features:
- Flat Primary Exhaust Pressure. The boost build up is neither sluggish nor abrupt; Tomei have designed this to be natural and smooth. This characteristic provides a stress free driving experience with easy vehicle operation.
- Response Equal to Stock Trim. Generally, a larger turbocharger relative to stock, results in decreased response of the engine. However, Tomei have managed to keep the response equal to that of the stock trim by matching the most ideal turbine and compressor wheel. Countless hours of testing were of course performed to achieve these results.
- Increased Peak Power. To achieve an increased peak power with the various restrictions in place, is considered a great achievement. Tomei is also very excited and proud of the perfectly instant response they get, as there is no lag and no abrupt boost pressures.
- Maintains Boost Pressure at High RPMs. It is evident that the stock turbocharger cannot maintain or extend boost pressure above 5,500 RPMs. The M8280 has the capacity to far extend this limit, making it an ideal step for further advanced tuning.
- 1 Year Limited Warranty. The ARMS Turbine Kit comes with a 1 year limited warranty after the product has been registered with Tomei Powered shortly after purchase.
